These terms cover your use of Root Cause, run by Mohit Karwal. By creating an account you agree to them.

The beta

The app is in a closed beta and free to use. Features may change, and we may reset or end the beta with notice by email.

Plant advice

Watering plans, plant identifications and health checks are estimates from your answers, care history and photos. They can be wrong. Check the soil, and use your own judgement for plants that are valuable, sick or unusual.

Your content and the people you add

• Photos and notes stay yours. You let us store and show them to people in your home.
• Only invite people who are happy to get an email from us about your plants.
• Don't use the app to send messages to people who haven't agreed, or to upload anything unlawful.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it, including a plant that didn't make it. These terms are governed by Indian law, with courts in Mumbai.
